Beijing and Los Angeles-based branding agency A Black Cover Design (ABCD) worked on the rebranding of pidan, which has become one of the fastest-growing and most influential local pet product brands. Their aim was to redefine the role of pets through design and greater harmony between animals and humanity.
In line with the brand's vision, pidan's future products are designed with humans in mind first, rather than focusing solely on the needs of pets. ABCD used eight distinct geometric figures, each representing one of the eight animal categories in pidan's current product line. Each type of animal has its own unique shapes and colour specifications, its distinct temperaments reflected in each detail. This approach not only distinguishes pidan's in the visually saturated pet product market, but also enables users to quickly identify product types through vibrant graphics and clear information.
