Established in 2015, A Running Commentary is an independent production company specialising in animation, documentary, and live-action production across various formats. With in-house talent and facilities, they feature a top-tier roster of directors and collaborate globally with creatives who value craft and collaboration. With entertainment and swagger, A Running Commentary seeks to unearth and nurture unique, untold stories in society, culture, and the arts through which they aim to ask more profound questions about today's human condition.
London-based design studio Two Times Elliott was approached by the founders of A.R.C to rethink their brand in film production's dynamic and continually evolving space. The studio played a crucial role in unlocking its next growth stage, positioning it as a leader in the field and shifting industry perceptions from a boutique studio to a full-service content house.

Formerly known as Dirty Films, the company thrived under this original moniker for years, symbolising its initial, more rebellious phase. However, as the name no longer resonated with the company's current direction and failed to encapsulate the broader scope of its creative pursuits, a new authenticity needed to be defined.
The starting point for this transformation was the definition of a new name. A Running Commentary (A.R.C) serves as a powerful statement of intent. It is a name that empowers them to express, explore, and articulate their work's creative and cultural impact without compromise.
From the intention conveyed by the name, Two Times Elliott shaped a visual language reflecting the complexity and emotion inherent in film production. Drawing inspiration from the intricacies of the film industry, their design choices echoed elements from camera interfaces to editing software, infusing recognisable industry features into a fresh brand expression.
This new name and design language authentically manifest the company's evolving principles and aspirations, connecting their established past to a future coexisting with the continual evolution of film production and storytelling.
